NEXT EVENT IN ENGLISH IS THE ART TALK "A MOSAIC OF PERSPECTIVES" SEPTEMBER 22 AT 3 PM BY KIRSTINE ROEPSTORFF'S SCULPTURE ON BLÅVAND BEACH.
Blåvandshuk Lighthouse, with its giant Fresnel lens, is a luminous marker for the fishermen who have sailed along Horns Reef's dangerous sandbars over the years. What does human dependence on phones, GPS and other technology mean for the natural orientation skills of animals and insects? And how does it affect our ability to understand our surroundings? Meet visual artist Kirstine Roepstorff, who poses philosophical questions to natural science, in conversation with Tobias Wang, professor at the Department of Biology - Zoophysiology, Aarhus University.
